A New Way Recovery Center believes healing and recovery happens in community. We know that each individual brings to the Center their own unique story, filled with a lifetime of experiences to share. By sharing our “lived experiences” with one another, we learn to grow far beyond our addictions. It is through our stories that we will learn and teach each other the valuable lessons of life.
A New Way is part of the Massachusetts Peer Participatory Process Model, where people engage one another through lived experience, accepting all paths of recovery in order to build healthy relationships and empower peers to become productive members of society. As part of this Model, our aim is to involve the recovery community at every level of the decision making process. Through community meetings, we actively develop the culture, activities, policies and focus of the Center. Members play a leadership role in developing a strong, independent identity to support one another. It’s a place where your voice can be heard.
We are here to offer support, no matter what recovery pathway is working for you. We welcome all who seek a safe and supportive environment. We offer access to community connections, educational resources, sober activities and so much more. The lives of everyone affiliated with the Center have been touched in some way by substance abuse. We are here because we are committed to the continuous support of a strong recovery community.
I come to the Recovery Center most days to utilize the great resources available. I did not have access to a computer or phone unless I came here. This has afforded me the ability to keep in touch with my friends and family. I was able to apply for jobs and got advice from the staff, who assisted me in securing a job, which has greatly improved my mental, physical and spiritual well being. I have been coming here for about two months and feel very welcome and look forward to seeing the staff, as I consider them my friends.A New Way Member
