A New Way Recovery Center- At the core of A New Way Recovery Center is the deep and abiding belieft that recovery is possible for everyone. Each individual brings their own unique story to the Center. It is through sharing these stories, which are filled with a lifetime of experiences, that we learn and teach each other the valuable lessons of recovery. The safe and supportive community of A New Way Recovery Center, coupled with sharing our “lived experiences” allows everyone who comes Center to grow far beyond our substance use.
A New Way Recovery Center is funded by the Department of Public Health – Bureau of Substance Abuse Services and is part of the Massachusetts Peer Participatory Process Model, proudly hosted by Bay State Community Services (BSCS). This peer model connects individuals in recovery and ensures that our community makes their own decisions in providing support, resources and encouragment for all paths of recovery. During regular peer community meetings, we decide on recovery activities, community groups, center policies in order to develop a safe, supportive and inclusive culture. Everyone participating at the Center thus has a voice that is heard, and and active role in maintaining and enhancing the idenity of the center.
The Center staff, all who have lived experience, are here to offer support, no matter what recovery pathway is best for you. We welcome all who seek a safe and supportive environment and offer access to community connections, educational resources, sober activities and so much more. The lives of everyone affiliated with the Center have been touched in some way by substance use; together, we are committed to sharing these experiences in order to build a strong, safe and reliable recovery community.

A New Way Member:
“I come to the Recovery Center most days to utilize the great resources available. I did not have access to a computer or phone unless I came here. This gave me the ability to keep in touch with my friends and family. I was able to apply for jobs and got advice from the staff, who assisted me in securing a job, which has greatly improved my mental, physical and spiritual well being. I have been coming here for about two months and feel very welcome and look forward to seeing the staff, as I consider them my friends.”
